Following that tweet, and TIME claiming the president was "incorrect," CNN senior media correspondent Brian Stelter noted that Trump doesn't want to speak to outlets that he feels aren't friendly with him anymore. "The outside world does not see the truth from them!" said Trump from his Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida.

The media outlet has responded to the USA president's claims and wrote on Twitter that "it is not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world. That's yours. Our job is to report the news", the public relations account of the channel tweeted.

The president on Saturday fired off a tweet that praised Fox News as superior to CNN and accused it of misrepresenting America to the rest of the world. Also Trump's tweet spawned a new joke format. It took no time for CNN to fire back at Trump, and the internet is loving the network's response.

As reported by RawStory, some critics believe that Trump is trying to derail the deal because of his personal animosity towards CNN.

CNN worldwide was prompt in replying back. By undermining CNN journalists overseas, the president is directly attacking their "freedom and even safety". MAGAPill has also pushed the conspiracy theory that DNC employee Seth Rich was murdered for handing DNC emails over to Wikileaks, and it has alleged that Hillary Clinton's campaign was responsible for the Russian ads that circulated on social media ahead of the presidential election. As Thomas Jefferson said, it "cannot be limited without being lost".

His latest tweet comes about a week after the Department of Justice sued to block AT&T's proposed $85-billion purchase of Time Warner Inc., which owns CNN. Given the context, Trump's attack on CNN seems particularly timely.
