Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit on Tuesday evening at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). She is also scheduled to speak at another session tomorrow.

Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant told reporters on Monday that GES is the preeminent gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters from around the world. "I aim for GES 2017 to be a global celebration that elevates the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs".

This is the first time that the GES is being hosted in South Asia.

This year's GES has the theme Women First, Prosperity for All. Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Israel are among 10 countries being represented by all-female delegations.

Ivanka Trump will give a keynote address at the inaugural session today, along with PM Modi.

This year's summit theme demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Indian governments to the principle that when women are economically empowered, their communities and countries thrive, said Kant.

The event will primarily focus on four thematic sectors - energy and infrastructure; healthcare and life sciences; financial technology and digital economy; and media and entertainment sectors, according to its agenda.

Over 100 innovative start-ups, products, services and processes will be exhibited through a multi-touch interactive wall, sensor-enabled touch screens, rotoscope mural technology and physical displays. India was given the opportunity to host GES during Modi's United States visit in June. Eminent panelists such as Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chanda Kochhar, MD and CEO ICICI Bank, Karen Quintos, CCO, Dell and Cherie Blair, of Cherie Blair Foundation for Women will also take part in these discussions along with Ivanka.

Hyderabad is a model city in terms of drawing investment from the USA, given that the city is a hub for American IT (information technology) companies, said U.S. ambassador to India Kenneth Juster on Monday.

GES will highlight India's enabling environment for innovation and entrepreneurship - including actions by the government to increase the ease of doing business, eliminating unnecessary regulations and supporting startups.

Besides Faluknama, Donald Trump's eldest daughter's visit might also include a sight-seeing trip to Charminar - a historical site that topped Ms Trump's list of must visit places in India.
