Micromax's Bharat 5 Stands No Chance Against The Redmi 5A

The smartphone is priced at ₹5,555 and will be available to buy via offline stores across the country. The Micromax Bharat 5 runs Android Nougat. Moreover, the storage can upgraded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Micromax Informatics today announced the launch of Bharat 5, the power packed smartphone, with a 5000mAh battery capacity.


The Bharat 5 rides on the tagline "Power of 5", which is why it has been priced at Rs 5,555. The company claims that the Xiaomi Redmi 5A can last up to 8 days on standby and up to 7 hours of video playback.

The Bharat 5 has been launched at the affordable price of Rs. 5,555/- only with a bundle offer by partner, Vodafone.

Battery & Other Features of Micromax Bharat 5 Smartphone - The battery of Bharat 5 smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery. And under the same partnership, Vodafone is offering additional 10GB data every month for five months for the Bharat 5 smartphone buyers. On the front, the Redmi 5A comes with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Inside, Micromax gets you a quad-core MediaTek SoC paired with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The phone packs similar specs like the Bharat 4, except it's bigger battery.

Battery: This time Nokia beats Xiaomi with its long lasting 4,100mAh battery as compared to Redmi 5A's 3,000mAh battery. Vodafone's offer comes amid intense competition in the telecom sector as new comer Reliance Jio has been rolling out cheap 4G data plans, a low-end feature phone called Jio Phone and even wi-fi routers called as JioFi.
