SCO Summit: Sushma Swaraj attends dinner hosted by Russian PM

Reciprocating the offer with warmth, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan said that Pakistan looks forward to harbouring a favourable cooperation in future exchanges and trade with China in various fields.

Speaking at the 16th Meeting of Council of Government of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Member States in Russia's Sochi city, Swaraj said, 'At the very outset, India strongly condemns terrorism in all its form and manifestation.

Prime Minister Abbasi would participate in the SCO retreat being hosted by the Russian prime minister along with other SCO counterparts.

This is the first SCO Heads of Government meeting that Pakistan will attend after assuming full membership of the organisation in June this year along with India, Radio Pakistan reported.

She will be attending the restricted meeting of the heads of delegations on Friday, which will be followed by the preliminary sessions.

At present, the SCO comprised of eight member states, including Pakistan, China, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

According to the Tolo News, Abdullah reaffirmed Afghanistan's political will and commitment to the SCO objectives in enhancing regional connectivity and contributing towards security, stability, economic growth and prosperity of the region.

EAM Swaraj will have bilateral meetings with several leaders on the sidelines of the summit. The CEO will also meet the SCO secretary-general.

Indian Foreign (External Affairs) Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Sochi on Wednesday night, and is likely to press Delhi's calls for tighter cooperation among members to combat transnational terrorism.
