Jessica Chastain is aware that she can't really talk about her very mysterious Dark Phoenix character. He was a producer on X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse, and the writer of Days of Future Past and Apocalypse.

In the image, Turner is seen topless and there is a fire raging through her cracked skin creating a magnificent first look.

The first pictures from the movie certainly look like a lot of time and care went into the production process and the crew still has a little less than a year to keep tinkering. Her deal expired with 2016's "X-Men: Apocalypse", so she had a possible out.

"I wanted the post time to deliver on the nuance of the visual effects, not just the scale of them". Director Simon Kinberg hints that pride and the pushing of the X-Men to be better are getting the best of Xavier, which prompts him to send the team on a space rescue mission, paving the way for a solar flare to hit the X-Jet and awakening the described power-hungry Phoenix within Jean when she tries to save the team. Lawrence told EW recently that she trapped herself by supporting her friend Simon Kinberg when he was considering directing the film. But now, along with the first look, director Kinberg finally lets fans know what will happen in the X-Men movie.

That dog, one imagines, is Jean Grey/Phoenix, and Chastain's character likely advocates killing her entirely rather than trying to bring Jean Grey back. The movie did such a bad job of it that years later the pretzel-like timeline of the X-Men movie universe would be used to erase the events of X3 from existence which means The Dark Phoenix tale can finally be done right. Technically 30 years have now passed since we first met some of this young cast of mutants, but in reality, it's only been 6 years for actors Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult.

20 Century Fox has begun to take the wraps off its third of three X-Men movies that it now has on its 2018 release slate.
