Hannibal Buress was arrested on Saturday after getting into a verbal altercation with police in Miami.

He faces a charge of disorderly intoxication, according to Miami-Dade County.

A Youtube video showed a defiant Buress handcuffed against a Miami patrol auto and demanding to know why he's being detained.

"Why do the officers in the video say he's "trespassing?' Everyone in Wynwood is disorderly and intoxicated". At the start of the two-and-a-half minute clip, the comedian can be heard shouting, "Am I under arrest?" The Miami New Times points toward initial reports that the comedian attracted law enforcement's attentions for "trespassing".

Buress said in response, "You know y'all goofy as [expletive]".

Burress eventually refused to get into the police auto after the confrontation went on for several minutes, leading to him being pushed into the police vehicle.

Buress is heard responding, "No, I'm not getting in your vehicle unless you have probable cause for anything".

TMZ reports that Buress' bail was set at $500. "For what?" Buress yells.

He gained prominence in 2014 for his routine on Bill Cosby's sexual assault accusations, which put those allegations into the national spotlight.

Buress is featured on the TV show Broad City and has appeared in movies such as Spiderman Homecoming and Baywatch.
