Payton has a stool he can sit down on if he gets exhausted but said it seems like the more steady people are coming in, "it gives me energy and I can stand up longer", he said.

Provincially, the campaign goal is to raise $4 million in an effort to feed, cloth and shelter individuals and families in need of support this season. Donations can also be submitted on the website www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/givebycheck through the end of the year to help meet the 2017 goal of $305,000. Donations can also be made through the Free 98-1 Rockin' the Stockin' Toy Drive, which benefits the Salvation Army.
