January's 2018 Games with Gold lineup for Xbox One includes: The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III and ZOMBI. Xbox Live Gold subscribers get access to a handful of free games every month as part of this subscription.

Tomb Raider Underworld will be available from January 1 to 15, Zombi and Army of Two will be available on January 16, and Van Helsing can be downloaded all month long. Developed by Neocore Games, "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III" is also the game that wraps up the Dracula-inspired trilogy and was released back in May of 2015.

Undeniably though, the biggest plus for the console feature was the move to introduce backwards compatibility for original Xbox games as well.

On the Xbox 360 side of things there's cool pairing of classic titles from the former generation, including Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider: Underworld. What makes this special is that this will mark the game's launch on Xbox consoles.

For starters, for those that don't have Xbox Live Gold or the Xbox Game Pass yet, both can be had for only $1USD for the first month.

After the holiday season, you likely have a huge mountain of new games to play, and if you're especially lucky, you may have even received an Xbox One as a gift.

With the arrival of 2018 will come the year's first selection of Xbox's free Games with Gold.

Last but not least, Army of Two is coming on January 16th for Xbox One and Xbox 360, a third-person shooter following the story of two mercenaries fighting through war, political turmoil, and a conspiracy from 1993 to 2009. Then from January 16 through 31, you can get the two-person shooter Army of Two, normally $14.99, gratis.
