It Seems Like Julian Assange Deleted His Twitter

Searches for 46-year-old Assange's account repeatedly turned up error messages until he tweeted a cartoon of Santa appearing to use WikiLeaks to compose his naughty and nice list, CBS reported.

Even weirder, the amount of followers of the account abruptly and significantly dropped upon reappearing, according to TechCrunch.

One wrote: "It appears Julian Assange's wasn't suspended by Twitter but was hacked and deleted".

This is all the more puzzling since the main Wikileaks Twitter account were up, as usual, having new posts since Friday, Dec. 22.

It is still unclear whether the account has been suspended by Twitter or if Assange himself deleted it.

Assange has since responded to the tweet with a tweet of his own. However, a source who works closely with WikiLeaks told the Gateway Pundit that they were not aware of any plans for Assange to deactivate his account.

Assange followed up with a promotional tweet, and a cute corgi, linking it to WikiLeak's donation page.

"The inadvertent tweet was briefly posted for a few second before it was quickly deleted by the same authorized user".

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is seen on the balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, Britain, May 19, 2017.

It eventually returned without much explanation the next morning, meaning it is so far not clear if the account was purposefully suspended by Assange or Twitter, or if there was an unsuspecting glitch in the system.
