Konami Could Be Bringing Castlevania, Contra WiiWare Games To Nintendo Switch

Wololo reported back in late November of 2017 that the hacking community had already managed to exploit the 3.0.0 firmware for the Nintendo Switch and even managed to release an exploit tool in order to get into that particular firmware version of the system.

Sure, a 2017 rebound for the gaming giant was almost inevitable with the dog days of the disappointing Wii U coming to an end and the intriguing new Switch console going to market in March.


Darkest Dungeon lives up to its name as it is a merciless and relentless dungeon crawling RPG, while the game has met with great acclaim on the PC, iOS, and PS4, it seems that the dungeons are looking to inhabt the Switch and the XBox as we see Darkest Dungeon Switch and Xbox One Rated by PEGI (Pan European Game Information), the rating board for Eurpoean games. In the previous generation, we saw the release of Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario 3D World for Nintendo Wii U. Both of these were excellent games, but the resources of Nintendo had to be split across both projects. While the new hardware started Nintendo's 2017 rise, it was blockbuster releases from its two venerable and massively successful franchises that carried the momentum.

Amazon US has posted a list of best seller gaming items of 2017, which features both the Switch console components and the titles by Nintendo above its rivals. While hugely popular first-person shooters such as Call of Duty may not find a home on the Switch soon, the platform has become a fertile ground for indie developers. The Nintendo Switch was launched in March 2018. From a developer standpoint, they successfully released a brand new Zelda and Mario game in the same calendar year in the United States.
