And with Liverpool losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona on a £142m deal, the Reds are now reported to be interested in signing Lemar as a replacement. "But the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen".

Jardim's comments regarding potential winter sales may offer Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hope regarding his chances of landing France global Lemar, particularly with Monaco out of the UEFA Champions League.

Monaco's Thomas Lemar is one of the best young players in an outstanding young France team and has shone brightly in Ligue 1 over the last few years.

Arsenal have moved Thomas Lemar back to the top of their wanted list and are prepared to test Monaco's resolve not to sell their star forward in January, says the Mirror. "We do not typically sell players in the winter transfer window".

But given Lemar was a target for Liverpool towards the end of the summer transfer window, it seems likely he would remain on the radar following Coutinho's exit.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, though, remains an admirer of the 22-year-old attacker, who has also previously attracted interest from Arsenal.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are looking at Lemar as the replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City this month.

If Monaco refuse to do business in January then the newspaper says Klopp is prepared to bide his time and see-out the rest of the season with his current squad as he's confident of finally landing Lemar in the summer. With surging interest of the top clubs in their prized possession, Monaco have chose to encash big on Lemar and have demanded a whopping £90 million for his services.
