However, Hazard has now seemingly given his clearest hint yet that both could sign new deals.

The 27-year-old suggested his compatriot Thibaut Courtois, whose current deal runs out next summer, is also on the verge of extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.

It's the first two we're mostly concerned about this point, especially after Eden gave an interview to the Mirror in which he basically confirmed that he will indeed sign a new Chelsea contract.

This season, Hazard has scored six goals in 14 Premier League appearances - not a bad tally for an attacking midfielder but Blues boss Antonio Conte will be hoping that the Belgian will once again find his top form as his side chase Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League.

Hazard posed for photos and autographs at the National Basketball Association game between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia in London.

"Tomorrow night I think is very soon, very soon for him", Conte said.

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has given the clearest sign yet that he will reject Real Madrid and remain at Stamford Bridge.

"First, he must sign, then I will be able to continue".

He also said his new deal would come after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, another reported target for Real Madrid, signs his contract extension in west London.

Courtois has only one year left on his contract at #Stamford Bridge and he has postponed putting pen-to-paper due to personal reasons - mainly his ex-wife taking his children back to Spain after a break-up and him being so far away from them is proving to be hard for the #Chelsea goalkeeper.

Hazard has been a vital addition to the blues ever since his transfer from LOSC Lille and played a pivotal role in Chelsea's title wins in the previous three years.
